Scale Model of the Sukhoi Su-57E with 2D Thrust Vectoring Nozzles at the 2025 Dubai Airshow

At the 2025 Dubai Airshow, Sukhoi debuted an upgraded export variant of the Su-57 Felon, the Su-57E, that featured two-dimensional thrust vectoring nozles. These nozzles are oddly canted about 30 degress off center in comparison to the American F-22 Raptor. No explanation has been given for this odd feature. Sukhoi has obviously been trying to improve the Felon's much maligned stealth shortcomings to bring it more into alignment with other 5th generation stealth fighters produced by other nations while improving its appeal to potential export nations. At the airshow, it was announced that the first export customer had recieved delivery. While the export customer was not nammed in that interview, it has been widely reported in previous months that the first export customer for the Sukhoi Su-57 Felon was Algeria.
